Postdoc Opening
A postdoc position is available immediately for a joint program with Prof. Bryan Boudouris, Prof. Jianguo Mei, and Prof. Brett Savoie groups. The candidate should have a strong background in polymer science and organic electronics. Experience in organic electrochemical transistor fabrications is preferred.
New visiting student
The group welcomes a new visiting student, Chen Zhang, joining the group. Chen comes from Prof. Yong Qiu and Prof. Lian Duan’s group at Tsinghua University of China. She will be staying with us for 2 months working on hybrid perovskite LEDs.
New visiting student
The group welcomes a new visiting student, Xiaofeng Xiang, joining the group. Xiaofeng comes from Nankai University of China and he will be staying with us for 4 months.
New visiting scholar
The group welcomes Dr. Lei Meng from UCLA Prof. Yang Yang’s group to visit us! Dr. Meng will be with us for a few months working on hybrid perovskite solar cells and LEDs.
New visiting student
The group welcomes a new visiting undergrad student, Gabriel Perez Schuster, joining the group. Gabriel comes from Universidad Nacional de Colombia through the UREP-C program. He will be co-advised by Prof. Boudouris and Prof. Dou at Purdue.
New Master Student
The group welcomes a new professional master student, Xue Wang, joining the group. Xue obtained his B.S. in chemical engineering from Xi’an University of Science & Technology (XUST) of China.

Over the last several years, there has been tremendous progress in the development of nanoscale halide perovskite materials and devices. Particularly, the emerging two-dimensional (2D) forms of halide perovskites are attracting more interest due to the long charge carrier lifetime, high photoluminescence quantum efficiency, and great defect tolerance. Interfacing 2D halide perovskites with other 2D materials including graphene and transition metal dichalcogenides (TMDs) significantly broadens the application range of the 2D materials and enhances the performance of the functional devices. In this article, we review the progress of the above-mentioned topics in a timely manner and discuss the current challenges and future promising directions in this field.
