Forth Dou Group PhD
Sheng-Ning Hsu successfully defended his thesis today! — Forth PhD in our group. Big congratulations! Sheng-Ning is heading to First Solar in Ohio as a process engineer. Thank you for your hard work over the years with Boudouris and Dou groups. Best of luck in your future endeavors!
New Publication
Jiaonan and Ke’s work entitled “Tailoring Molecular‐Scale Contact at Perovskite/Polymeric Hole Transporting Material Interface for Efficient Solar Cells” has been published in Advanced Materials. Congratulations!
Poly(triaryl amine) (PTAA) is a promising HTL for perovskite solar cells; however, the hydrophobicity of PTAA causes problematic interfacial contact with perovskite, limiting the device performance to less than 22%. In this work, we successfully constructed a uniform two-dimensional (2D) perovskite interlayer with conjugated ligands 4Te, between three-dimensional (3D) perovskites and PTAA. Perovskite/PTAA interfacial adhesion was significantly improved and a PCE of 23.7% was achieved. Unencapsulated devices exhibited both superior thermal and moisture stability. Read the story here.
